I don’t know much about the west coast, but it seems like Vancouver’s got this retro-soul, 50s & 60s/grunge inspired jingle-jangle thing going on. This satisfies pretty much every prerequisite I have for liking music. Think new-wave Beach Boys and plaid-wearing Supremes.

something I’d like to explore more is what Canada has going on over on the west coast in terms of music. CBC really favours that coast but I’ve been really impressed with what I know from there.
